Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

I'm working on a new Gallery add-on big_smile (Thanks to Koos). I'm not going to tell what features it will have *haha, evil me tongue*, but is will have some features of Gallery Add-on 1.2 like the fullscreen popup.

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

Made another update - version 1.3.2 now available.

What's new in this version:

1. I added the following statement for allocating all necessary memory for image processing:

ini_set('memory_limit', '-1');

On some servers this will allow you to upload and resize almost any size image.

For example: I have 16MB of php memory - this allowed me to upload images of up to about 2000x1500pixels.
Bigger images would cause php memory max-out.

Now with this improved version I can upload and resize really massive images. I have even tried to upload a
4500x3375 pixel image and it worked perfectly! Perfect thumbnail creation and resize.

2. Added dimensions column to list of uploaded images. Now you can sort the list of uploaded image based on image size (area).

3. Transliterates filenames with umlauts, accents, ligatures and runes.
Instead of purging characters with umlauts and accents - they are now transliterated. For example:
löschen.jpg will save as loeschen.jpg
and
été.jpg as ete.jpg
etc.

4. Fixed bug resulting in interrupted uploads being saved.

5. Some other minor changes

The lang files have also been updated.

After adding:

Code:

<script type="text/javascript" src="include/uploadimg_js.js"></script>

to header.php like you said in your email everything seems to work, except for the fact that images still don't display when viewing the post. I get the error message "Image not found".

Strange thing is posted images only display when previewing your post or when replying to someone's post who has posted an image.

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

Really? Everything worked big_smile?

But that posting thing is weird. I use the settings, url of the dictory with images, in the uploadimg_config.php to view the thumbnails in the post.

So I have to do some bugfixing. I'm going to make some little improvements and implant the new version of your mod in the upload popup and update the manual.

It will be ready in a few days.

I only added BBCode since the intention was to use the uploaded images on the forum only. Maybe I will add something to the configuration so that you can select what code you would like to view below the thumbnails in the gallery.

Is this a request? If so you can try to ask FSX to add this in his add-on.

ropli wrote:

This won't be too difficult. I will try to post some code here for adding a watermark when I get a chance.

thesaint posted a link to a script for adding a watermark on the punbb forum. You can check it out here:

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

here a link how to do watermarks..
http://www.sitepoint.com/article/watermark-images-php

Code:

<?php

header('content-type: image/jpeg');

$watermark = imagecreatefrompng('watermark.png');
$watermark_width = imagesx($watermark);
$watermark_height = imagesy($watermark);
$image = imagecreatetruecolor($watermark_width, $watermark_height);
$image = imagecreatefromjpeg($_GET['src']);
$size = getimagesize($_GET['src']);
$dest_x = $size[0] - $watermark_width - 5;
$dest_y = $size[1] - $watermark_height - 5;
imagecopymerge($image, $watermark, $dest_x, $dest_y, 0, 0, $watermark_width, $watermark_height, 100);
imagejpeg($image);
imagedestroy($image);
imagedestroy($watermark);

?>

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

Hi,

first of all, i got to say that it is a nice mod.

Now im wondering if its possible that there is just one "gallery" where all uploaded pictues from all users are in?
I think it's a bit of annoying klicking through all users to look at their images..

I would suggest a link like this:

uploadimg_view.php?view=gallery&id=all(?)

Uploaded Pictues by User 1:
PICTURE - PICTURE - PICTURE .......

Uploaded Pictues by User 2:
PICTURE - PICTURE - PICTURE .......

and so on.. and a switch to view the whole thing in "listview":

uploadimg_view.php?view=gallery&id=all(?)

Uploaded Pictues by User 1:
image1.jpg
image2.jpg

Uploaded Pictues by User 2:
image1.jpg
image2.jpg

Would be really nice if there is any solution to my thoughts..

Thanks, although if its not possible wink

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

Ex that a good idea.. how about a simple file gallery.php with user name for categories then a thumbnail of there top 3 or 4
with clickable link to that person images.

example:
john
image1 image2 image3
marry
image1 image2 image3

etc.

click on john
opens all his images

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

How about this:  If you go with the mouse over an username and some sort of menu pops up ( like a submenu) with some options like:

- E-mail
- View profile
- View gallery

Just expand the user list with some extra links like:
View user gallerie's or view as normal userlist.

With uploadimg_view.php?id=2  you can see the user's gallery.

Jeah, i know this one, but i cant get the code of this to change it to have only one gallery (you know?).
It must be like this..

- get user id -> put uploaded picture in uploadimg_view.php?id="user id"

But how to change this into:

- get user id -> put his uploaded picture into uploadimg_view.php?id="all" -> put picture in (e.g.) table id="user id"

e.g. for 2 pictures from 2 different users:

User 1 uploads 1 picture:

-> get user id ->> 1
-> put the picture in uploadimg_view.php?id="all"
-> Sort Pictures in tables ->> table id = 1

in ...view.php?id=all ->>>
Table 1 - Username1
Picture1 (Thumbnail)

Now another picture from user 2 is upped:

-> get user id ->> 2
-> put the picture in uploadimg_view.php?id="all"
-> Sort Pictures in tables ->> table id = 2

in ...view.php?id=all ->>>
Table 1 - Username1
Picture1 (Thumbnail)

Table 2 - Username2
Picture2 (Thumbnail)

Any ideas?

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

I know howto change the amount of images are viewed. I have managed to make an paging system for the listview  in the Add-on that I make for this mod.

But view the images of multiple users at the same time I don't know howto do that. I have to look at the code.

Can't remember the specifics of Koo's code, but the general thing you want is:

Code:

$filearray = array();

$listdir = opendir ($tdir);

        while (false !== ($xfile = readdir ($listdir)))
        if ($xfile != "." && $xfile != "..")
        {
                $filetype = filetype ($tdir.$xfile);
                if ($filetype == "file")
                {
                        $filearray[] = $xfile;
                }
        }

closedir ($listdir);

The filenames will all then be in the array $filearray, for which you can do a foreach to insert them into a table or list view. I've picked the thumbdir as the dir that's scanned for images. Just change it to $idir? for the main image directory.

Re: Automatic Image Upload with Thumbnails 1.3

With that you can read the dictory. But Ex_cuse wants to view a numbers of images from more users at the time like:

Code:

User 1:
image image image

User 2:
image image image

User 3:
image image image

@Ex_cuse
You can get the user id out of the url with: $_GET['id']
