Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

This is only a test thingy - a lot of the basics I'm still working out.

Yes - I know that the post indicators don't quite match. Thanks.
Like I said - Havn't gotten to it yet. This is a work in progress....

I need some input and help!
Please post responses and such. Thanks!

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

It's looking good, is the current preview the latest?

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

hcgtv - Yeah - it's the latest. Whenever I change anything on the test server, I manually update it here. But, this ensures that it will always be up to date.

As you posted in the other forum, I'm trying to get it so that I can take away the padding and margin of the welcome message so that the double border will work.
However - when it comes to  making the poster info table smaller and expanding the post itself, I've always had bad luck in that field.
If anyone can help me with that, I would be greatful.

Gizzmo - Thanks! Yeah, I got them working...It just took a little bit of color matching.

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

It's looking great, will check back later to see if you update it further.

I really like the simplistic look of it, something no other PunBB skin has.

One of the reasons I like this skin is that we're working on a project where we read the forum via Thunderbird in an RSS feed, so the simpler the skin the better it appears in the viewer window.

Thanks for taking the time.

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

Alrighty - Basically done. It's about 0.9 stage right now.

The only problem I have is this wierd 5 px gap in the border between #brdmenu and #brdwelcome. I cannot figure out where it is coming from!!!

I made a few cosmetic changes on the viewpost pages and the moderation sections. The same for the admin section.

I'm glad you like it! I'm just happy that it gets used. I love porting skins from blogging systems. Just a hobby of mine. wink

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

Just grabbed the tar, the date is 6/11/2005 2:34am EST on Minima.css but the header says 0.8, I guess it's 0.9. Looking great it's installed and running at http://hcgtv.net

Seems strange carrying on a thread in 2 forums.

Your hobby could turn into a business, get yourself a PayPal account wink

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

*lol*
Sorry - It is 0.9, fixed that this morning, I just forgot to change it because I was in such a hurry to get the last test version out. wink

I *do* have a paypal account, it's just that I do this for fun and in my spare time. I don't want to charge for something that I think should be freely accessible to the public. Or, are you referring to donations?

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

Yeah, I kind of figured it was 0.9. I'll keep an eye on this thread should you create 1.0 later on.

Yeah, i was referring to donations. If you help someone, like you've done for me, a donation might come your way wink

Maybe add a PayPal button to your site?

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

Awesome, up and running: http://hcgtv.net - if I may say so, it's very nice simple theme.

If you want a simple download script, click the snif link in the footer here: http://nupusi.net/downloads/

Thanks, you made my weekend smile

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

I set up that donations option you suggested.

This will always be a work in progress - So, what that means is that any time anyone has any comments, suggestions, or the like - I'm always open. wink

Thanks for the link to snif. I'm working on configuring it right now. I was going to use Olate, but realized I didn't need anything so big. It should be helpful for listing all the files.

Not to stray off topic but snif is better than having just a plain Apache directory listing.

I'm following the development of Olate and will start using it soon on my site. There are some things I've suggested to the developers of OD3 and it's been added to their todo list. Over time, I think OD3 will fit the software developer as well as the common user wanting to share some files off his web site.

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

True - but seeing as the only releases I will be making anytime soon will just be templates, I think I'll keep it simple for the time being. If this becomes more of a full-time thing, it would seem a good idea to switch to a more flexible system.

I would guess he means not fixed-width.

I would also be interested in a percentage-width version of this theme.  I don't like fixed-width too much.

It's an awesome theme, though.  Very nice! big_smile

nrwilk - Your wish is my command. big_smile

However, HORROR - if you would like to change the width, just change line 141 in 'Minima.css'. It's the value under '#punwrap { width: 660px;}'.

Thanks so much, erissiva!  Yeah, I knew how to do that, but I figured you might have been using images in this theme.  oh well...

Thanks again! big_smile

Oh - gotcha. big_smile
Actually, not one of my themes uses images. I try more for the minimal edge.

Re: Minima for PunBB 1.2

Utterly adore this style. I'm new to punbb and still learning, but this style is probably the best i've found thus far. Very easy on the eye.

Newbie question: How do I add a extra line beneath the board title?
