echo recent posts on home page in 2 sections??

Hello I am new to this forum and I will just say sorry in advance, if my question is on here but I have looked a lot and the only things I can find don’t fit my needs or are dead links, ect…… with that being said please don’t just say “this is already on here”  Show me a link please and ill be happy to do it.

Ok I work in an IT dept and have a link on a webpage I made to my forum that we use as a turnover of major/ongoing issues.  I need to have this echo the “recent post” at the bottom of the home page ON the home page and would like 15-25 posts all on the home index….. I would also like this done on a “ongoing issues section as well if possible.

Thank you in advance to all that support this site and I hope to help in the future and already working on a few styles to upload.

Thanks in advance

Re: echo recent posts on home page in 2 sections??

search for recent topic mod...

just a script you place in the include/user folder
and call it in the portal.tpl or main.tpl

recenttopics.php i think that what it is called..

http://bunpai.com

look for recent post on the side .. if that what you need i can give you the code...

Re: echo recent posts on home page in 2 sections??

try this..

create a file in the include/user folder called recent.php
so it looks like this...
include/user/recent.php

now go to ur main.tpl

place this tag !
below where it says <pun_main>

move it around inside the main.tpl
main.tpl located in the include/template folder

good luck
Q

Code:

  <pun_include "recent.php">

Code:

<div id="vf" class="blocktable">
    <h2><span>Recent Posts</span></h2>
