Re: Shadowbox

Lytebox allows frame/site content too. Doesn't require as many scripts loading either, by the looks of it.

And finally...

Check out www.mjijackson.com/shadowbox/ and you will find the differences between Lytebox-greybox-slimbox and shadowbox.

I 've just made a plugin for my joomla sites and after jerome's request I also did one for punBB. It's simple to use(only 5-6 lines of code in main.tpl and 1-4 lines of code in include/parser.php).

If you want to use it only for external links:
in include/parser.php file Find the line (arround 278 in 1.2.17 version):

Code:

return '<a href="'.$full_url.'">'.$link.'</a>';

Replace with:

Code:

if (ereg('http://localhost/forum/', $full_url))
    {
        return '<a href="'.$full_url.'">'.$link.'</a>';
    }
    else
    {
        return '<a rel="shadowbox" href="'.$full_url.'">'.$link.'</a>';
    }

ps. I was hoping that PunBB was able to run plugins without having to change some core files.(I am working on PunBB since yesterday and I don't know how/why/etc. )
I 'm planning to make the extension with some selections in it (I allready did a version that makes a simple selection between css files: simple(black) / light(white)). When it goes somekind of pro I 'll post it.

chears,
akis p.

Unless I missed something, all it waffled on about was compliance, with no examples of specifics. Seeing as my forum is perfectly Xhtml 1.0/1.1 valid otherwise, and I'm using lytebox, I think that's bunkum, in general. The only place it does fall down in that regard, and I assume shadowbox does the same, is by using Iframe rather than object.

Btw, why not use strpos rather than ereg? You're matching a set string, not a regex.
